Mike LoConte - President
Mike LoConte is a native Floridian and has been in the Radio and TV industry for over 25 years. His career began in the Cable TV business with COX Cable in Gainesville, Florida selling cable subscriptions door to door. This led to sales management and ultimately Director of Sales and Marketing for Scripps Howard Cable in Knoxville, Tennessee. After accomplishing his goals in Cable TV, Mike moved into Radio sales for Jacor Communications in Knoxville. Mike became a top biller after 3 years. This led to an opportunity in Broadcast TV sales for the Knoxville ABC affiliate. After a year in Television, Mike returned to Radio with South Central Communications as Sales Manager for WIMZ then Local Sales Manager for WIMZ and WEZK in Knoxville,Tennessee.
After 3 years with South Central, Mike was recruited by Benchmark Communications in the Greenville/Spartanburg, South Carolina market as Director of Sales for 3 stations. Following 3 very successful years with Benchmark, Mike started his own company Advantage Systems, Inc, along with his wife Janet. Janet handled the administrative and production ends and Mike concentrated on Sales and building the business. Within a short period of time, the company grew and added a team of presenters and a full-service client support department to ensure the success of each and every project. It’s that dedication to our partner’s success that has made Advantage Systems the #1 new business development company in the US and has resulted in our expansion into Canada.
